Roma! Ok so I think I may be putting on whatever weight I have lost on the Camino right back on. My goodness when people say that the food in Rome is amazing – they are not kidding! Pizza, pizza and more pizza. Pasta and Gelato – it’s everywhere your eyes look.  The gelato – wholly hell I am in trouble, I never eat this back at home, but I can’t stop eating it now. It is delicious! I don’t know what the italians secret ingredients to their food is but it’s all amazing and irresistible.

So for a holiday from the Camino my city of choice was Rome and I am hoping to head south to the Capri for some ocean swims. But for now I am so happy (my belly even more so) and falling deep in love with Rome – this city is incredible. I have been here for 2 days and loving every bit. Going from the Colosseum, to the Trevi Fountain and the Vatican City. History is everywhere and it’s so overpowering. You are walking around and the most historical buildings, monuments, paintings and sculptures in the world all captured in this city. Where ever I go I have our baby in my hand ‘Swept away by Wanderlust’ to present to all the awsome stores as we want to get some retailers in Rome – I just have to stop eating gelato so I can visit more bookstores!! Over and out.
