Me and Ash have really gotten used to running a business through correspondence from all over the world – me being in Sweden, her in China, me in Italy and from the opposite sides of Australia (Perth & Sydney). Since we started in April last year, we have actually only been in the same city 2 of the 12 months that we have been running “Axel & Ash” for. So it shouldn’t be that much of a surprise that the next month correspondence will be from villages in the northern spanish countryside!
After a week in Paris, Ash took off to the south of France for a completely different adventure – To walk “El Camino de Santiago” a pilgrim walk. The Camino is a road that pilgrims followed in the middle age to get to Santiago. The entire trek goes from St Jean pied de port (The Pyrenees, France) to Santiago de Compostela just on 800km. The route takes about 33 days to walk and takes you through many small villages and towns, beautiful landscape and amazing scenery.
I love when she sends me pics and updates and even if they are sparse I know that right now she has found some great mates – 3 koreans! They are 74, 72 and 68 – leant her their walking stick – gave her an airplane bottle of whiskey and after walking together for a few days they now confirmed “You now our friend”. Love it! Wish I was there adventuring with her!
