She was the longest-serving British Prime Minister of the 20th century and is the only woman to have held the office. The Soviet journalist called her the “Iron Lady” due to her unwillingness to shift from her policies.
As Margaret Thatcher passed away yesterday, reading the papers – couldn’t believe how much of a split there was for her. You either loved her or hated her – there was no in between! On one side of the UK, champagne was popping and signs were reading ‘Ding Dong the which is dead’ and on the other side tributes were coming in from around the world with the President describing her as a ‘true friend’ to the U.S.
As a grocer’s daughter who rose to become Britain’s first female prime minister. Love or hate her policies she has made history either way.
Today is the day. start something new. take on the challenge. make a change. follow that dream. ask the question. take the plunge. don’t be afraid.
Held a little surprise party for my friend Anne Marie last night! It was pink cupcakes, pink champagne, delicious canapés, colourful ballons and amazing friends jumping up screaming surprise when she got there. It was perfect! I love to surprise people! Must be a family thing as my mum came and surprised me 3 times while I lived overseas and I didn’t have a clue!
Ann-Marie thought we were going for a quiet birthday dinner only 4 of us! She was chocked. Great success!!! /Axel
