As you might have seen we have spent the last few weeks painting a Wanderlust mural down at the fabulous Carousel store in Bondi with our talented bestie Salleigh. We’ve had so much fun with early mornings watching the sunrise and Bondi come alive whilst splashing paint and eating icecream for brekkie. Yesterday the lovely Jess and the girls from Carousel organised a VIP party to unveil the wall and celebrate in style! We had a great night with wine, laughter, shopping, art, goodie bags and great pizza from Mad Pizza. Thank’s to all our friends and followers who came down and a big fat thank you to Jen at Stories by Jen for stunning photography making the night ever lasting! xxx

We’re extremely super duper excited to announce that one of our favourite bookstores in the U.K. – Foyles has elected to stock our travel journal ‘WANDERLUST’ in their beautiful new shop at Britain’s busiest station – London Waterloo!
Established in 1903 Foyles is London’s most famous bookstore! On the 8th February they opened the doors for their new store at Waterloo Station and we are completely in LOVE! The store is a mix of new with a touch of old. The space is absolutely gorgeous and our favourite part is that Foyles’ with a little help from English Heritage have lovingly preserved Waterloo Station’s old Windsor Bar to ensure they kept the old pay booths! The store looks incredible – a new oasis of calm in Britain’s craziest station.
So if you’re in Londontown check out this amazing store and WANDERLUST at the same time! You can also find WANDERLUST in their flagship store, 113–119 Charing Cross Road. A must must visit!!
Helena Ekelund – Thank you for the lovely pic of your WANDERLUST purchase!
ONE AND A HALF YEARS AGO…
…we were chatting and laughing while sharing our bucket lists over a sunset coconut drink. That’s when we realised we both wanted to start a business and said ‘let’s do it!’. After a few days of brainstorming the idea of designing a fun & creative travel journal came up and WANDERLUST was born. Without any experience in designing or publishing books, we knew we were up for an adventure.
…after working endless hours together with our gorgeous graphic designer Chantel creating journal of 220 individually designed pages full of quirky questions, inspiring quotes and edgy photography, WANDERLUST was finally ready for tests, fine-tuning and off to print.
JUST OVER HALF A YEAR AGO..
…ago we received our first batch of books just the evening before our Launch Party at Berkelouw Books Paddington, Sydney. It was a crazy feeling to take the plastic off, open WANDERLUST and for the first time run our fingers over the cover and smell the pages.
…we are celebrating that with a personal approach we just got WANDERLUST into our 100th store. #100 happened last week when we were on a road trip down in beautiful Margaret river, WA and discovered an awesome new store there – ‘Stellar & the chief’ – selling the best in fashion, accessories and a few gifts. And now also Wanderlust. We can’t believe that our random late night chat about bucketlists now have turned into a book that is stocked in a collection of the coolest shops in Australia and Europe. We are very selective in the stores we approach as we only want to be seen in stores we love and adore ourselves, which is why we are now super proud of our enticing mix of top retailers. From the trendsetting ‘Ahoy Trader’ in Byron Bay, Classic ‘Morisson’ in Perth and quirky ‘Title’ in Sydney to luxurious ‘Illum’ and the funky ‘Project 4’ in Copenhagen and the world famous bookstore ‘Shakespeare & Co’ in Paris.
Starting this business we had no background or experience in printing or publishing whatsoever and we are so grateful to the shop owners that dared to try us out and give us a chance. We had a passion, determination and a goal and our story shows that that’s all you need. WANDERLUST has now been embraced by thousands of globe-trotters around the world and we are so stoked to receive beautiful feedback, images and stories from around the world. Despite absolutely loving what we do it’s lots of hard work and those beautiful emails, amazing feedback, many followers and likes ignites a fire and passion for us to keep going and pursuing what we love when we are in doubt. This is only the beginning of our journey and we are full of wild ideas and fun concepts for up-coming projects. Next up is wanderlusting Europe to market WANDERLUST and we are also working on our second title. For now we can only reveal that it’s inspired by what inspired us – to inspire you.

Had the most beautiful day eating at the cute cafes and strolling through all the boutique, vintage & antique stores in the Blue Mountains. Wentworth Falls, Leura & Katoomba such incredible places. The views and nature is so beautiful. @ 3 sisters, Katoomba. A must visit if your in Australia. You can now find ‘Wanderlust’ in the Mountains.
We are very excited to say that we are now stocked in our (and so many others) absolutely favourite store in Byron Bay – AHOY TRADER. This popular store which is just a minute away from the beautiful Byron beach is jam packed with luscious island-life inspired treasures from local and Australian designers. A mix of textiles, cushions, scented candles, cool books, and trendy fashion makes the shop a treasure box. The store has a welcoming feel of painter’s studio, with the rustic walls full of vibrant tiles and designs made by the owner and incredible artist himself – Jai Vasicek.
The playful name ‘AHOY TRADER’ comes from Jai’s childhood which he spent sailing the world on his family boat for over 10 years- Ship AHOY. This is also where he got a lot of his inspiration for his art. With the ocean running in his veins his art features vibrant colours and layers of print and patterns inspired by the sea and nature. Shells, feathers, exotic creatures and female forms mixed with splashes of neon makes his pieces truly unique and we have absolutely fallen in love with Jai and his artwork! But we’re not the only one’s – his hand-painted crosses and colourful wall tiles are highly sought after. Their electric and expressive character have also won the hearts of Australia’s most stylish home decorators and savvy interior designers who are now commissioning him to create one of a kind artworks and decor pieces.
You can find Ahoy Trader on Marvel St in Byron – opposite Bay Leaf Cafe. Or check out Jai’s Instagram @jaivasicek.
