As you might have seen we have spent the last few weeks painting a Wanderlust mural down at the fabulous Carousel store in Bondi with our talented bestie Salleigh. We’ve had so much fun with early mornings watching the sunrise and Bondi come alive whilst splashing paint and eating icecream for brekkie. Yesterday the lovely Jess and the girls from Carousel organised a VIP party to unveil the wall and celebrate in style! We had a great night with wine, laughter, shopping, art, goodie bags and great pizza from Mad Pizza. Thank’s to all our friends and followers who came down and a big fat thank you to Jen at Stories by Jen for stunning photography making the night ever lasting! xxx
I (Axel) have been living back & forth in between Perth & Sydney for the past 4 years! The last 5 months I’ve been in Perth permanently working on our new book (way calmer lifestyle here to get lots of work done 🙂 and I’ve been lucky enough to have lots of my besties from Sydney coming over for visits! This weekend it was the lovely Claire & Adrien who made a very welcoming surprise visit!
I always want to show them all my favourites of Perth, but this weekend we got wrapped up in crazy storms-even the craziest hail just as we left the beach! So we spent a lot of time cuddling up inside catching up on life! But I managed to take them to some of my favs that I’d recommend everyone who visits Perth:
‘2 bridges walk’ – Best walk all around the river with stunning views. 2 hours
Uncle Joes – my regular favv cafe/barber in the city
Moore & Moore – Cafe and art gallery in Freo
The Wild Fig – Cosy cafe/restaurant at Scarborough Beach (especially when it’s hailing 😉
Bread in Common– Best athmosphere/restaurant in Freo
The Raw Kitchen-Must try in Freo. Hands down the best raw food place I’ve been to Australia wide!
MANY– Old Myer store turned into a market place for smaller, funky brands.
Spending the day biking around Rottnest Island with the worst bikes and funniest bike companion in the world! Havn’t been out here since my mum visited Australia in 2011 – forgot how absolutley stunning it is. Clear green waters, rolling green hills, sunny skies, a big picnic bag of health heaven and the quakkas – an animal that only exists on this island in the whole wide world! If it wasn’t for the extreme wind that keeps our bikes going backwards I’d call it perfection!
